  1. In these pages learned that "Would" can be used to discuss the "past". "Would" is not only used to make conditional. "Would" is used to speak in past when we talk about actions that we performed in the past repeatedly. Equivalent to "imperfect preterite" in Spanish. For example: When I was a kid I played football with my friends at school. When I was a boy I would play football with my friends at school. "Would play" is played. - She came to my house every Wednesday to watch TV. She would come to my house every Wednesday to watch TV. "It would" is used to talk about actions that occurred in the past repeatedly. "Would" is only used with verbs of motion. "Would" makes a similar to "used to" function, but there is a big difference. "Would" can only be used with verbs of motion, for example, play, sing, walk, eat, go, etc. "Used to," however, it can be used with all kinds of verbs. Remember that "used to" can be translated as "I used to, you used to do ....." And also "Before I did, I was eating, etc." Examples: - I used to think she was married That. I thought before she was married. Note: I can not say "I would think That ....." because "Think" is not a verb of motion. It is, instead, a stative verb. -They Used To have a boat. Before they had a boat. Note: I can not say "They Would Have a boat". because, "it would" last only used with verbs of motion and translated into Spanish as the preterite imperfect: I ate, he slept, we were playing, etc. And "used to" can also be translated as "imperfect preterite in Spanish" or "as" used to do ... "can be used with verbs of motion and state (stative verbs) are those verbs that normally never used in continuous time.
